Recent research
- With a doctorate on Organizational Sociology (conflicts in organisations and grievance systems) Enid Mante works since 1995 in the area of User profiles and uses of ICT. Projects concerned research on users needs, segmentation of consumers, and context factors determining the use of telecommunications.
- She also did a lot of work in the area of scenario development, especially on consumer scenario's and consumer typologies.
- At the moment she is involved as project leader in EURESCOM P903, ICT in daily life. This project aims to make a comprehensive qualitative and quantitative study on the adoption and rejection of mobile telephone and Internet and the relationship with mobility, social networks and time use. International cultural differences are part of the subject of the project. This project is a follow-up of COST248.
- Besides the work on consumer needs and adoption of ICT she also is involved in research on the adoption of ICTs by organisations (large, medium and small), especially research on the adoption of e-commerce and the consequences for organizational processes and structure.
